Care & wellbeing

As a church we want to reflect the unconditional love of God and to be a place that feels welcoming to all. We seek to be non-judgemental, recognising that we are all equal in God’s eyes and that none of us are perfect or have all the answers. We are listed as a mental health friendly church and a friendly place  in recognition that we strive to welcome and value everyone. We believe that each of us is made in the image of God and is therefore unique and valuable for being who we are not just what we do.

We seek to be a supportive environment to those who are part of the church family as well as to those in our local community and beyond, particularly when people are feeling isolated or struggling. We know that sometimes life can be difficult whether we have a faith or not. We want to provide support during those difficult times to whoever needs it. We also recognise that staying healthy in body, mind and spirit can sometimes help to prevent future difficulties and so we offer support to help people maintain health and wellbeing. We offer a range of ways in which we provide care and support such as –
  • Prayer ministry
  • Pastoral visiting
  • Christian counselling
  • Bereavement service
  • “Free to be me” personal development course
  • Wellbeing group and workshops
  • Walking and fitness groups
