Cornerstone Groups

small-groups-buttonWhat are Cornerstone groups?

They are small groups of people who generally meet in someone's home. Just like the cornerstone of a building, they are critical building blocks in the life of the Good Shepherd church.

They provide an opportunity for:
Fellowship - we can get to know each other and share our lives together at a deeper level.
Food - we can listen and learn from each other, discussing and asking questions in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Family - we can encourage and care for each other, for example by praying for one another.
Fun - we can relax and enjoy a social time together.

Why should I join a Cornerstone group?
Jesus calls us to join a community of people who share their lives with one another and enjoy fellowship together. As Christians our love for one another and our commitment to each other and hallmarks of our faith.
(John 13:34; Philippians 2:2-5; 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8)
We want to encourage everyone in the Good Shepherd church to join a Cornerstone group.

When do they take place?
Most of them take place on a Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 8pm and 10pm, and we have an all age group on Friday evenings from 6pm.
